4th Grade Recorder Oders

We will be using recorders in music class this year. Because recorders are a popular item to own, I will be sending in an order to purchase recorders.  This is not a requirement, as we do have recorders provided to each student in music class.  If you buy a recorder it will be yours to keep for home practice.

These are high quaility recorders that are offered to me at a special teacher discount of $5.50 a piece.  I sent home an order form with students last week.  Please fill out the order from and return the completed from  with cash or check written to Langston Hughes Elementary by Friday, September 21.

5th Grade Music Program

The 5th Grade Music Program "Broadway Beat" will be presented Tuesday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the Langston Hughes Gym.  Students will need to report at 6:45 p.m. to their classroom.

I am sending home CD's and a word sheet for each to student to practice with at home.  This will help with memorization of the words as I do not see them daily for rehearsals.  If you do not have a CD player you can download it onto an MP3 player or you can also play it on your computer.

Students may dress in the style of the 50's. Boys may wear jeans or dark pants/sweats and a white or plain colored t-shirt.  Girls may wear poodle skirts or jeans/dark pants and a plain top. Please no writing on the shirts.

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for all your help and support.
