The third grade music program "School House Rock and At the Movies" will be presented at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 18 in the Langston Hughes gym. Students will need to report at 6:15 p.m. to their classroom.
Students need to dress for success! Boys: Nice pants or jeans and shirt Girls: Dress, skirt, or nice pants.
The fourth grade music program "Celebrate the U.S.A." will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 18 in the Langston Hughes gym. Students will need to report at 7:15 p.m. to their classroom. Students may wear something red, white or blue or something patriotic.

5th and 6th Grade Music Program
The fifth and sixth graders are busy preparing for their upcoming music program on Tuesday, October 26. They will be performing "Rock and Roll Forever" a musical highlighting some of the songs and artists of early Rock and Roll. 5th Grade will be performing at 6:30 p.m. and students will need to report to their classroom at 6:15 p.m. 6th Grade will perform at 7:30 p.m. and need to report at 7:15 p.m. Each student is to dress in the 50's or 60's style. Examples are poodle skirts, jeans and white t-shirts (with rolled sleeves), surfing or beach wear, Beatles (tye-dye, beads, 60's style). Welcome to Making Music at Langston Hughes!
I am very excited to start out the 2010-2011 school year with this great tool for communication.
I will be updating the blog as new information needs to go out about music programs, recorder orders, talent show information etc.
