I have sent home a set of flashcards for each student to study at home.
Students will have 5 minutes to answer 60 problems. If they get a 100% on that test they get to take at test with
96 problems. If they get 100% on that test they get to challenge me!Kindergarten classes are starting to learn songs for their music program "Gettin' Down With Mamma Goose" on Thursday, March 10. It will performed in the Langston Hughes gym at 6:30 p.m. I will be sending home a CD for the students to practice with so they can learn the songs. Home practice really helps, as I do not get to see the students every day for music. I will be sending out more information as we get closer to the performance.
3rd -6th Graders will be attending a performance of "Black Violin" at the Leid Center the afternoon of Tuesday, February 8th. They are a group that combines classical music with hip-hop.
